जननी जन्मभूमि स्वर्ग से महान है

जननी जन्मभूमि स्वर्ग से महान है
जिसके वास्ते ये तन है मन है और प्राण है ॥धृ॥
ईसके कण कण में लिखा रामकृष्ण नाम है
हुतात्माओंके रुधिरसे भूमि सष्य श्याम है
धर्म का ये धाम है सदा ईसे प्रणाम है
स्वतंत्र है यह धरा स्वतंत्र आसमान है ॥१॥

ईसकी आन पर अगर जो बात कोई आ पडे
ईसके सामने जो जुल्म के पहाड हो खडे
शत्रु सब जहान हो विरुद्ध आसमान हो
मुकाबला करेंगे जब तक जान मे ये जान है ॥२॥

ईसकी गोद मे हजारो गंगा यमुना झूमती
ईसके पर्वतोंकी चोटियाँ गगन को चूमती
भूमि यह महान है निराली ईसकी शान है
ईसकी जयपताक पर लिखा विजय निशान है ॥३॥
jananī janmabhūmi svarga se mahāna hai

jananī janmabhūmi svarga se mahāna hai
jisake vāste ye tana hai mana hai aura prāṇa hai ||dhṛ||

īsake kaṇa kaṇa meṁ likhā rāmakṛṣṇa nāma hai
hutātmāoṁke rudhirase bhūmi saṣya śyāma hai
dharma kā ye dhāma hai sadā īse praṇāma hai
svataṁtra hai yaha dharā svataṁtra āsamāna hai ||1||

īsakī āna para agara jo bāta koī ā paḍe
īsake sāmane jo julma ke pahāḍa ho khaḍe
śatru saba jahāna ho viruddha āsamāna ho
mukābalā kareṁge jaba taka jāna me ye jāna hai ||2||

īsakī goda me hajāro gaṁgā yamunā jhūmatī
īsake parvatoṁkī coṭiyā gagana ko cūmatī
bhūmi yaha mahāna hai nirālī īsakī śāna hai
īsakī jayapatāka para likhā vijaya niśāna hai ||3||

		
MeaningThe mother and the motherland are greater than heaven.
For her (the motherland), this body, mind, and life itself are dedicated.

In every particle of this land are written the names of Rama and Krishna.
The soil has become green and fertile through the blood of martyrs.
This is the abode of righteousness; we bow to it forever.
This earth is free, and so is its sky.

If ever its honor is challenged,
If mountains of oppression stand before it,
Even if the whole world becomes the enemy and the sky itself turns against us,
We shall fight as long as life remains in our bodies.

In its lap flow thousands of sacred rivers like the Ganga and Yamuna.
The peaks of its mountains kiss the sky.
This land is great; its glory is unique.
On its flag of victory is inscribed the mark of triumph.
